Paris — An esteemed structure in the French capital experienced a sudden alteration on Thursday morning. The blades of the renowned Moulin Rouge descended to the ground overnight – resulting in the red windmill appearing oddly vacant.
The proprietors of the entertainment venue expressed uncertainty over the cause of the blades’ descent — along with the removal of the first three letters of the Moulin Rouge sign – yet they committed to restoring the framework and stated that there was no additional harm done.
The rooftop bar closed at midnight, with the final cabaret performance concluding an hour later — and at that time, the structure remained unharmed.
“It’s a melancholy sight,” remarked Lars Thygesen, a tourist from Denmark, as he gazed at the establishment on Thursday.
